About Myron Brooks, Jr.
Myron Brooks, Jr. a native of Washington, DC entered the fashion
arena during his sophomore year of high school. Here, Myron along
with other students modeled, produced, and co-directed fashion productions.
These annual fashion productions aroused a burning desire in Mr.
Brooks to pursue the fashion industry in some capacity. Furthermore,
these productions served as a mechanism for Myron to meet local
stylist and model coordinators who taught him the basic essentials
in modeling. Initially, Myron sought to be a couture runway model.
In 1999 Myron’s active role as an aspiring
model followed him to Atlanta, GA where he attended Clark Atlanta
University. Upon his arrival to Atlanta Mr. Brooks began to model
and assist in directing fashion productions. Within a short semester’s
time Myron had gone from modeling and assisting, to directing his
very own fashion shows. Eventually Mr. Brooks realized that his
focus within the fashion industry had completely shifted from modeling
to creative directing. Mr. Brooks desired to be behind the scenes
of fashion productions and also wanted to train and develop young
aspiring models. Equipping these young men and women with the basic
essentials that he was exposed to during his tenure in the fashion
industry as a model. It was during this time span that Mr. Brooks
taught the winner of the third installment of Americas Top Model,
Eva Pigford how to grace the runway. Preparing Pigford for what
was yet to come in the hellish fashion industry, thus developing
a facet of her personality that later coined her as “Eva the
Diva.”
This newfound drive that Mr. Brooks had developed
reaped from the pores of his very existence in the industry. So
much so that he caught the attention renowned designer, stylist,
fashion editor and creative director the late James Hargrove. Hargrove,
a graduate of the Fashion Institute and former designer for the
legendary House of Prada, wished to instill in Brooks the textbook
and professional standards of the fashion industry. Thus, making
Mr. Brooks his apprentice and business partner. Their partnership
gave birth to F-Pac fashion styling and production team.
Together the two brought forth some of the most spectacular fashion
presentations and mesmerizing looks to hit the Atlanta fashion market,
let alone the main stream market. Also while under apprenticeship
with Hargrove, Mr. Brooks also lent his talents as a casting director
for two Atlanta based magazines, Glitter and Glamour Magazine. In
addition, Mr. Brooks did casting for music videos and publishing
companies, such as Parnell Publishing in Atlanta, GA. The training
that Myron received from Hargrove has aided him in becoming a charismatic
creative director; while expressing his versatility in both the
European couture and urban fashion markets. Consequently, over the
years Mr. Brooks has blossomed into one of the youngest and most
highly sought after runway trainers, creative directors, and stylist
in the Atlanta, Washington D.C., and New York City Metropolitan
areas.
